veterans-day-2016Today is the day to step back from all the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, to set aside our differences and come together for one common cause. Not to stand behind the new President-Elect, although we should. but to honor all those men and women who have served us and our nation as members of the Armed Services.

Veterans, and what they have done to maintain our freedom, are a big reason why we have a Country where citizens can openly speak their minds and make their voices heard. Whether we agree or disagree. We have the freedom of speech and opinions. No one is stifled.

Let’s all remember and embrace what we have, and let’s take one day to say “Thanks” to those who have sacrificed so much to preserve our way of life.  Our way of life that has come under attack lately on many fronts, from without and within.

We are a great nation, a land of opportunity. The home of the brave and the land of the free. Let us not forget those who served, and continue to serve, and who stand vigil to ensure we remain the greatest nation on earth.

I’m proud to be an American, and proud to be a Veteran. Let’s stand together to keep America great!

May God bless our Veterans and God bless America.
