MBA-NJ Conference-VitaliIt’s that time of year again; St. Patty’s Day, March Madness, and the Annual Regional Conference of MBA’s, held in Atlantic City each year.

This will be the 33rd consecutive conference. This year, the meeting will be held from March 13th through the 17th at the new Convention Center in beautiful Harrah’s Marina Casino/Hotel.

The conference begins with a Commercial segment on Sunday evening which concludes on Tuesday. This segment includes presentations by experienced industry professionals on such things as the State of the Commercial Property Market in the Northeast, Alternative Commercial Property Lending Sources, with the ever popular Traditional Lenders panel addressing structuring commercial deals for available financing, with the outlook for Commercial Lending through 2016 and beyond.

The Residential Segment kicks off on Tuesday afternoon with some in-depth presentations from both Fannie and Freddie on their programs and business practices which can benefit lenders and the housing industry. You get a jump on the markets, what’s happening with rates and a forecast of things to come with Barry Habib’s presentation first thing Wednesday morning. This is a real eye opener for all attendees.

The following Wednesday Opening General session is highlighted once again by the groundbreaking Industry Leader’s Panel providing information and insights from industry insiders to assist lenders in building their business to increase their profits. A perennial favorite.

This is followed by a thought-provoking presentation from some of the industry’s finest legal and compliance minds discussing recent, and upcoming, regulatory changes, and existing laws that effect what lenders do every day. This one, moderated by yours truly, is one you don’t want to miss.

The opening session is capped off by the keynote speaker, David Stevens, President & CEO of the MBA, who will bring everyone up-to-date on what’s happening in Washington DC, what MBA is doing for our industry and where things are headed in this presidential election year.

All great stuff, but that’s not all. Other sessions include a Regulatory Update, with regional State regulators, on Wednesday afternoon, along with two great networking receptions; one each evening on Tuesday and Wednesday. As a special bonus this year Thursday morning the conference offers a “Town Hall” meeting with a combined panel of all conference speakers addressing a myriad of topics, including those discussed at other panels, with the opportunity for you to ask questions and get answers to things that may not have been previously addressed. Everything you need or want to know about mortgage lending…all in one place.

This conference offers something for everyone, including the exhibit hall with vendors, servicers, lenders and technology providers all offering information on their products and services. If you need something in mortgages, you’ll no doubt find it here.

BTW, if you are interested in exhibiting at the conference, it may be too late. I hear the exhibit hall is sold out. You might want to give MBA-NJ a shout to see if they can squeeze you in.

Complete Information about the conference, with contacts for registration and exhibitor information, may be found HERE.

I am looking forward to seeing you in Atlantic City.
