I’m attending the inaugural LoanLogics User Conference, Vantage Point 2016, at the Sawgrass Marriott, in Ponte Vedra, Florida, home of THE PLAYERS Championship (TPC). The venue is great; the content informative, the attendees are learning and having fun and the food is spectacular; like the golf course.
Unfortunately, we could not gain access to the golf course as everything is being readied for next week’s tournament. THE PLAYERS Challenge is one of the year’s biggest golf events and everything needs to be just perfect.
Everyone is working hard to ensure the course is ready so the resort may present a first class, quality event. Attention to every detail from the viewing stands to the tee boxes, fairways, greens, clubhouse, rest and refreshments areas. It’s got to be right, the course must put its best foot forward; no second chance to make a great first impression.
It’s no different in anything we do. If you want to do it right, and create a quality product, or event, it takes planning, training and execution. Attention to every detail, no stone left unturned. “Good enough, just ain’t good enough. It’s gotta be perfect.”
The theme of the conference was no different. Quality in mortgage lending is just as important as volume and spreads. Loans must be done right. They need to be perfect. The 3 tees (pun intended), training, technology and testing are key ingredients to drive success. Lenders need the trained staff supported by technology with the systems in place, with everyone working together, to manufacture quality, compliant loans.
Presentations and discussions about understanding and handling the effects of TRID, Corresponding lending challenges, defect management and risk scoring all centered around what can, and needs, to be done to create a quality, compliant loan, as close to perfection as possible. Some really good stuff…
So, it looks as though Sawgrass will be ready to service the Players tourney next week. LoanLogics is ready to service the next generation of mortgage lending. Are you ready?
The game has changed. Play Different.
