We’re back with Part Two of our International Women’s Day celebration of the women of LoanLogics who contribute to our tech success each and every day and are “tech through and through.” If you missed Part One, you can find it here.
Enjoy getting to know this second set of LoanLogics leading ladies who answered one or both questions “What is your proudest accomplishment in technology?” and/or “Share what or who encouraged their career path in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) field?”
Davida Stanley, Director of Digital Operations
What drew me to a career in tech? After 15 years of working in mortgage default, working my way up from Foreclosure Specialist to Default Manager I decided it was time for a change of scenery. While I was surrounded by coworkers and a management team, I enjoyed working with, I wanted to learn something new and to be challenged in different ways. Not afraid of change, well maybe just a little, in 2017 I decided to apply for a Manager of Operations position at LoanLogics. As a technology company in the mortgage industry, LoanLogics made the perfect fit. My day-to-day responsibilities became an optimal balance of solving problems with the latest digital solutions – just what I was after for the next step in my career. Now, part of the tech side of the industry, I am working with a new set of highly skilled individuals that push me to learn so much about the technical aspect that drives our company’s success. During my tenure here at LoanLogics, I was promoted to Director of Operations! I’ve established an amazing team both onshore and offshore that works extremely hard, well together, is committed to doing an excellent job and is highly efficient in their day-to-day responsibilities. I could not ask for a better team. Together as a unit, we have accomplished so much during my 5 years at LoanLogics but there is still work for us to do. I am excited and look forward to another successful year in 2022 at LoanLogics.
Kristen B, Product Marketing
For me, I think the question rather should be why did I STAY in technology!? I began my professional career selling mainframe class servers for IBM into the small and mid-size market. My manager was a 30+ year tech veteran at the company, an excellent mentor, and FEMALE. Sue was always willing to take the time to explain the why and how behind the technology, strategize with me on tackling our multimillion dollar sales goals, and be the front line of defense for all else coming my way. As a marketing & international business major, I had little background in technology coming into the role but with her leadership and my aptitude/interest in learning the nuts and bolts, the rest was history. I’ve been pursing careers in technology ever since. I’m grateful that four years ago I found another great female mentor at LoanLogics in Mary Anne Ahmer, in an industry that I find full of intrigue. I found out about six years ago there’s certainly never a dull moment in mortgage and you learn something new every. single. day!
Liz Green– Chief Product and Data Officer
The start of my career path was in the mailroom of a company mainframe computing services to mortgage loan servicing companies across the country from my hometown of South Bend, Indiana in the mid-1980’s. Our head of programming was a woman and she was truly a force that inspired many, including me. I like to think I made her and my many mentors proud when in 2015, as an independent consultant, I was named a Tech Allstar by the Mortgage Bankers Association. Today I use my experience to guide our solutions design and data flows to an optimal outcome for our clients. And, I try to support and mentor my team as was done for me in my career.
Sharon Jackson, Technical Project Manger
My proudest accomplishment in technology was serving as the IT Manager over 14 discrete middle tier systems for a major voluntary benefits insurer. Our team of developers & analysts grew over the course of 4 years from 6 onshore to 12 onshore & 4 offshore and won many awards for our consistent high performance and success in helping our company reach stretch goals year-over-year. We were a very tight-knit group and managed to have fun while working hard. We worked shoulder-to-shoulder, with the team members frequently volunteering to help their colleagues if assistance was needed. The systems were diverse and we had to be more dynamic than most other groups due to our positioning within the overall organizational IT ecosystem. I am so grateful for the time I spent in this role with these folks because our successes were truly earned as a team. Continuing to replicate this high-performing team culture in my career remains important to this day. I’m thrilled to build upon that foundation here going into my 3rd year with LoanLogics.
