Veterans-DayI’m going to stray a little from my normal blog about industry information to take a moment to thank and honor all those who have so bravely served, and presently serve, our Country in all branches of our military. Thank you all for your service and sacrifice. Thank you for protecting our freedoms and for maintaining our safety and security.

This is also a very special day for me as I too am a veteran having served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era on the island of Okinawa. I tell you that not because I want or expect any special thanks or praise but because I am very proud to have served my Country; a Country which has provided so much, to so many. A Country where I have raised my family and now watch my grandchildren enjoy the freedoms that others have worked so hard to win and maintain.

Please take a minute today to say “thanks” to a veteran for their service and sacrifice, and for keeping us safe and free. Without those who serve it would a whole different Country in which we live.

Also, remember there are programs offered for our Veterans under the VA Home Loan programs in which lenders may participate to help more veterans realize their dreams of homeownership. They’ve taken the risks, let’s offer them some rewards.

God bless America, and God bless our Veterans.
