FHA-HUD-Online-HandbookOn May 18, 2015 the Housing and Urban Development/Federal Housing Agencies announced that a draft version of their Origination Thru Post-Closing/Endorsement Handbook is available on-line via a link from their HUDCLIPS web page. The link will direct them to the Handbook on the AllRegs online electronic policy platform.

This is truly a step in the right direction for FHA as this online Handbook will be much easier to navigate for interested parties.  The policies in the handbook are now scheduled to go into effect on September 14, 201.  Instead of paging through a PDF file, users will be able to easily access specific sections and subsections of the Handbook and also have “Search” capabilities.

I suggest underwriters, appraisers, loan processors, loan officers and anyone interested start accessing this online Handbook and become familiar with how to navigate the screens and search for particular topics.  Best of all, access to the online Handbook is FREE.  The PDF version of this Handbook is scheduled to be removed on September 11, 2015.

Try it out! I think you will agree that this is a major improvement in the way industry personnel can access FHA underwriting policies.  The link from HUDCLIPS is as follows:
